Here's some general information about MVGS's training and education classes.
-Classes are free.
-Classes are only open to MVGS members.
-All classes are taught at the Hollin Hall Senior Center.  Specific rooms and times are indicated with each class.
-You may sign up by using the form on the individual class entries, or by signing up on the sheets at the general MVGS meetings or, if nothing else works, emailing the training coordinator at
-The workshops taught by Linda MacLachlan on the 1st Monday of the month sometimes require you to register before you come to class with either or - the class description will tell you if this is required.  Having a password allows you to actually enter/edit information onto those systems.
-Some of Linda's workshops have handouts.  If they are shown on the class writeup, please print them out and bring them with you to class.  She doesn't bring copies with her.
-If the instructor or training coordinator have emailed you handouts before the class, please print them out and bring them with you.  Neither the instructor nor the training coordinator bring extra copies for class participants.
-If you have any suggestions for additional class topics, please either add them in an entry on this forum site, or email Amy Breedlove at  We're always looking for new ideas!
-If you would like to volunteer to teach a class, please email Amy at
Thank you and we hope to see you in a class or workshop.
